Data shows that despite three decades of phenomenal growth for women-owned businesses, women-owned businesses are still a lot smaller when compared to men-owned companies. This fact inspired a Seattle-based business consultant to focus her business on women business owners. Isotov gathered numerous research studies, interview transcripts, and articles written by researchers, educators, banks, government, and entrepreneurs. An analysis of the data revealed that there were several basic tactical approaches and strategic initiatives that the consultant could implement. Additionally, the final analysis report described industry sectors which held the most potential, resources business women lacked, and ideas for training and program development. The consultant is now well-on her way to being a “rock star” consultant to women-owned businesses.
